On The Boardwalk

Boardwalk-1   Atlantic City proved to be an exciting place for someone who rarely leaves their studio.  I got overwhelmed with the abundance of sites and sounds.  We stayed in a fabulous room on the 44th level at Caesars's Palace that had a wonderful view down the boardwalk and into the ocean.

We spent our days in the casinos, eating in the private casino clubs, and shopping in the many outlet stores that are just blocks from the hotels.  At night my cousin had arranged for us to see a few shows.  We had great seats and it was a very nice change of pace for me.

I really enjoyed my weekend but found myself ready to return to my studio.  I came home with so many new ideas.  I think spending time out of your comfort zone can do a lot for your creative side.  I plan to do it more often!

Wow, Joy! I'm heading there for a girlie overnight on Monday. Thanks for the preview! I grew up in NJ, but AC never looked like this back then. Looking forward to getting away, but I know what you mean about getting back home. A trip or two out of our comfort zone, as tough as it is, is always a good idea.

Looks like fun! I've never been to Atlantic City. And yes, getting out of the studio - even if it's just for lunch with a friend is always a good idea! However, when I come back from a vacation or even a mini-break I always seem super-charged with ideas. It pays to refresh that creative spirit!
