Happy New Year!
January 1 of every year I start getting the urge to clean things out. I want everything in the best shape it can be for the new year... including me. Of course, I begin by clearing everything off of the treadmill and resolve to exercise daily. After that is out of the way I start looking around to see what else needs a redo. This is my way of decluttering the house and my mind. Even as a child I would get energized after my mother rearranged the furniture. We had very little money so her way of giving the house a "new" feel would be to rearrange everything. It worked with me!
Sometimes changing a few things in our lives is all we need to get a fresh perspective. If you find yourself a little down in the dumps, take a look around and see what you need to rearrange. Of course, its not always "furniture" we need to change but sometimes its the way we do things or don't do.... places we go or don't go, and friends we have or don't have.
Whenever I get a creative block my poor studio gets a face lift... and it works!
I wish for you a wonderful new year! I wish for you a surge of creativity! I wish for you many fresh beginnings! And, remember... ANY time is a GOOD time for a fresh start.
